Set Shabbat table with ample time before Shabbat
Prepare the candles on Thursday or early on Friday before Shabbat
Connect Shabbat hot plate before Shabbat begins
Turn off the refrigerator and freezer lights before Shabbat
Prepare the lights you will need for Shabbat and do not manipulate them during Shabbat
Prepare and cut toilet paper before Shabbat (tearing is not allowed on Shabbat)
Set aside special clothing for Shabbat
Bake Challah
Help buy and prepare the food for Shabbat
Cook for Shabbat beforehand and don’t cook during Shabbat
Bathe and be ready before Shabbat starts
Buy flowers to enhance your Shabbat table
Cut and fix your nails before Shabbat
Prepare your Shabbat clothing beforehand
Give Tzedakah before lightning candles
